Mamadou Diallo released from police custody

Guinean immigrant Mamadou Diallo was released yesterday from police custody after being arrested a day prior for the death of Earl Nash, a 43-year-old man who attempted to rape Diallo’s wife in their Bronx apartment.

Mamadou Diallo who was called to the rescue, rushed home where he confronted the attacker. A physical altercation between the two men left Nash with several injuries. He was later pronounced dead at Lincoln Hospital.

According to a source close to the family, Mamadou Diallo is devastated by the incident. Even though his intention was to protect his family, Nash’s death would certainly weigh on his conscience.

Mamadou Diallo is due back in court on June 27, 2016.
