Since they opened Jacob Restaurant in 2019 in Harlem, owners Rachid and Kim Niang have fed community members every year on Thanksgiving, and this year was no different.
Despite COVID-19, the doors of Jacob Restaurant were opened from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. to whoever wanted a delicious hot soul food meal, and many came from different parts of the city to take advantage.
At the end of the day, Colby Jenkins, the founder of Women Who Dare To Be Different and a community member, who noticed the couple’s generosity over the years, presented Rachid and Kim Niang a Thank You cake.
