On July 20, 2021, Harlem Muslim New Yorkers celebrated Eid-al-Adha, a holiday commemorating the Prophet Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his own son Ismael as an act of obedience to Allah.

Every Eid-al-Adha, Muslims around the world begin the celebration with a morning prayer in their best attire, followed by sacrifice of a sheep and a feast.
