Harlem Arts Advocacy Week is on!

Harlem Arts Alliance kicked off Harlem Arts Advocacy week, “a seven-day series of free events” with an award ceremony on October 1st, 2012 at Aaron Davis Hall on the City College of New York campus.

Actor and activist Danny Glover received the Harlem Arts Alliance Humanitarian Award, Vy Higginsen accepted the Lifetime Achievement award and Mikki Shepard the Arts Leadership Award.

The business Leadership award went to Fred Powell a longtime sponsor of Harlem Arts Alliance.
