Friends of the Congo launched Congo Week and Congo in Harlem a weeklong celebration of Congolese culture through music, film and food on October 12, 2019 at the People’s Forum in Manhattan.

Congolese singer, songwriter, and recording artist DPretty performed at the celebration.
