The Northern Manhattan Borough President’s Office, in partnership with the NYS Department of Business and Licensing Services, is hosting on October 27, 2015 at 6 PM, a free licensing workshop for African hair braiders.
The goal is to help African hair braiders understand the processes and requirements for securing natural hair braiding licenses.
Participants will learn how to avoid common pitfalls and challenges, fill out applications, navigate city and state agencies online, resolve issues when facing penalties, and deal with fraud.
Translation services and ESL resources will be made available.
