Filmmaker Christian Thiam will host, in partnership with Senator Bill Perkins’ office, a free screening of his latest documentary on the Casamance conflict on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at 6pm at the State Office Building in Harlem.
The conflict started in the 80’s with the Movement of Democratic Forces of Casamance, a separatist movement fighting for the independence of the region located in the southern part of Senegal.
