Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire (PANA) – Saying that the time has come for reconciliation, the Ivorian senior minister for political dialogue, Mr. Jeannot Kouadio-Ahoussou, appealed to Ivorians in exile to return home.

Speaking at a press last weekend, Mr. Kouadio-Ahoussa said that the call followed the Ivorian president’s willingness to ease the political climate in the country.

“The objective is to approach next year’s elections in peace and to rebuild social cohesion,” said Mr. Kouadio-Ahoussou.

“I would like to make a solemn appeal to our brothers and sisters who are in exile by calling them to return to the country. Time for reconciliation has come so that they join the political process,” he said, citing the example of key figures of the Ivorian people’s front (Fpi) who have since returned from exile without any “ugly” incidents.
