Congolese pharmacists mobilize drugs for CAR

Brazzaville, Congo (PANA) – Congolese pharmacists have set up a movement called “SOS Central African Republic” to raise funds to buy drugs for the Central African Republic (CAR), where bloody clashes between Christians and Muslims have left more than 1,000 people dead and millions displaced.

The chairman of the Congolese National Pharmacists, Mr Hyacinthe Ingani, on Wednesday in Brazzaville appealed to all people of goodwill, Congolese and African NGOs, various organizations, both national and international, to donate to the fund to save victims of the CAR war.

He called for a speedy resolution of the crisis saying their talks with the CAR Red Cross revealed that thousands of people were dying for lack of drugs.
