Brazzaville, Congo (PANA) – Addressing delegates to the international business forum, Build Africa, which ended Friday in Brazzaville, the Congolese capital, the former Mexican president, Vincente Fox, called on Africans to copy China in the construction of infrastructure.

According to him, infrastructure today offers a big opportunity for progress.

“China is a big example for us. This is how infrastructure has mobilized the Chinese economy, created jobs and helped 300 million people out of poverty,” Fox said.

Also addressing the audience, the Congolese Country Planning and Works Minister Jean-Jacques Bouya, recalled that China invested 14% of its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in infrastructure.

A thousand experts, industrialists, and politicians attended the 6-7 February 2014, forum.
