Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson honors five African and Muslim-led organizations at Iftar dinner

On Tuesday, April 26, 2022, Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson honored five African and Muslim-led organizations during an iftar dinner held in the Bronx.

The organizations honored for assisting families impacted by the fire at Twin Parks North West included ICNA Relief USA, Muslim Women’s Institute for Research and Development-MWIRD, The Gambia Youth Organization, Muslim Community Network, and Masjid Ar Rahmah.

Musu Drammeh and Ramatu Ahmed emceed the iftar dinner while Imam Mamadou Saidou Balde, Imam Roohul Amin, Deputy Imam Amar Abdoul-Rahman, Imam Musa Kabba and Imam Nedzad Ef. Avdovic addressed the audience.

The event was hosted in partnership with Affinity by Molina Healthcare, Bronx Terminal Market, Homes NYC Group, Weliya Production Inc., and Pottal Fii Bhantal Futa Djallon.
