“There is someone out there that knows something. This is New York City!” shouted Alfa Barrie’s 22-year-old sister Fatima Diallo who spent the day with siblings and friends plastering flyers in Harlem and the Bronx, hoping to find her youngest brother.
Alfa Barrie was last seen in Harlem with an unknown friend to the family, 13-year-old boy Garrett Warren on Friday, May 12, 2023. Both children are nowhere to be found.
On May 16, 2023, four days after their disappearance, families were still looking for them.

Alfa Barrie’s mother, Fatoumata Diallo, was home where community members came to comfort her. She had only one message for the community, “Help me find my son. I miss my son. My kids miss my son.”
