African Youth Empowerment Series to kickoff on July 30 in Harlem

The African community in New York will kickoff its African Youth Empowerment Series (AYES) with an empowerment day event on July 30, at 12pm at the Harlem Office State Plaza on 125th Street.

AYES is a platform providing information and resources to educate young African men about the consequences of criminal activity.

The event, an all day resource fair with government agencies and community organizations, will feature speakers, music performances, food, and giveaways.
