The African students’ association of Baruch College celebrated Africa through dance, music, food, and fashion during its 4th annual Taste of Africa event titled “Ma Belle Afrique” (My Beautiful Africa).

During the ceremony held on April 4, 2014, in Manhattan, the organization honored alumnus and valedictorian Fanta Condé.

“Fanta is a role model. She managed to be a valedictorian despite all the challenges she had to face, and it means a lot to us. It means that everything is possible for us African students,” said Roxane Zouzou, president of the Association.
