The African immigrant community in New York is mourning the loss of Khady Diaby, a wife, mother, and community activist from the West African country of Ivory Coast, who lost her battle with cancer on January 15, 2023.
The funeral will occur on Friday, January 20, 2023, at Masjid Aqsa, located at 23 East 115th Street, at 1 p.m.
Kady Diaby is survived by her 11-year-old daughter and her husband, Ousmane Diaby, who set up a GoFundMe page to help pay for the burial expenses.
