African Democratic Club and New York Clergy host month-long voter registration drive

The African Democratic Club and New York City religious leaders from various denominations will host on May 8, 2021 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., a voter registration drive on the steps of the Bronx County Building located on the corner of 159 Street and Grand Concourse.

The event is one of a series of a month-long houses-of-worship voter registration drive held from April 28 to May 28, 2021.

The information campaign is an attempt to help end “the chronic low political participation among immigrant and formerly-incarcerated populations.”

The group will provide registration applications and answer questions about the upcoming elections, including Ranked Choice.
