The African community to host a Voter Registration Drive on September 29 in Harlem

By Isseu Diouf Campbell

Members of the African community living in New York are hosting a Voter Registration Drive on September 29, 2016 from 6:30 to 8:30pm at the Malian Center located at 2433 Frederick Douglass Blvd, in Harlem.

Despite the fact that more Africans are becoming Americans citizens, they don’t always honor their civic duties by casting a vote during local and presidential elections.

The objective of the Voter Registration Drive is to raise awareness about the importance of voting but also encourage African New Yorkers who can vote to participate in the upcoming presidential elections.
