On June 23, New York City will hold a Democratic Presidential Primary and primary elections for Congress, state Assembly, and state Senate. In addition, there will be a primary election for one city office: Queens Borough President.
Due to COVID-19, all those with primary-election party affiliations are eligible to vote safely from home by mail-in ballot. In order to receive a mail-in ballot, New Yorkers must complete and submit a request form and check “Temporary Illness” on the application by June 16.
New Yorkers can request a mail-in ballot online at nycabsentee.com by calling the New York City Board of Elections at 1-866-VOTE-NYC (1-866-868-3692) or by returning the paper application form sent in the mail.
Your completed mail-in ballot must be signed, completed, and mailed-in by June 22 to your county Board of Elections using the postage-paid envelope you will receive with the ballot.
