Ibrahim Ceesay with Lamin Tamba

Gambian youth activist and filmmaker Ibrahim Ceesay premiered his latest film, Sarata, on September 25, 2014, at Mayles Cinema in Harlem.
Several members of the Gambian community based in New York came to support the young filmmaker who uses film as a tool for change and social transformation.
Sarata, which features British actor of Gambian descent Lamin Tamba and actress Vivi Amie Chris, raises awareness of cervical cancer and encourage women to get regular checkups.
Cervical cancer kills 400,00 women every year.
