Since 2002, NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) has coordinated the City’s Annual Tax Season Initiative to increase access to high-quality free tax preparation services in New York City and the number of eligible New Yorkers claiming the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and other valuable tax credits.
If you earned $68,000 or less in 2020, you can file your taxes for free by using NYC Free Tax Prep before April 15, 2021, the IRS deadline to file 2020 tax returns.
