New York, US (PANA) – The UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has launched a free online science education resource for students from disadvantaged regions around the world.
UNESCO said Monday that the digital platform tagged: “The World Library of Science or WLoS”, was created to help them access the latest science information, share experiences and learn through discussion with their peers.”
It said the online library is stocked with over 300 top-quality articles, 25 eBooks and over 70 videos from the ‘Publishers of Nature’, a trusted global scientific journal.
UNESCO noted that the state-of-the art digital platform provides a community hub for learning where users can join classes, build groups and connect with other learners, as well as boost their knowledge of sciences and latest development in the scientific community.
It added that WLoS is free of charge and open to all with an aim to help equalize learning opportunities, strengthen science and education and improve the quality of teaching and learning.
