Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire (PANA) – The United Nations has called for entries for the first edition of the Nelson Mandela Prize for persons who distinguish themselves in the promotion of reconciliation, social cohesion and community development, all of which align with the goals and principles of the UN.
According to a statement, the prize, established in memory of world’s statement and anti-Apartheid icon Mandela who died on 5 Dec. 2013 at the age of 95 years, will be given every five years.
Entries are open until 18 May.
