Thousands expected at the 7th Annual African Day Parade

The seventh Annual African Day Parade, celebrating the culture and accomplishments of continental Africans will be held this year on Sunday September 22nd, 2013 in Harlem.

The parade will start at 12 noon from 135th street and Lenox Ave to 122nd street, and will be followed by a festival at the Marcus Garvey Park where artists from different parts of Africa will share the stage. Ghanaian actress Nadia Buari will host the festival.

Other activities held before the parade on Sunday include a media reception on September 20, 2013 at 6pm at Bleu Violin, and a kick off party the same day at Les Ambassades.
