Every May 25th, Africans on the continent and in the Diaspora celebrate the formation of the Organization of African Unity, an intergovernmental organization spearheaded by then Ghanaian President Kwame Nkrumah and established on May 25, 1963 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
This year, the Harlem-based institution The Africa Center, whose mission is, “to transform the world’s understanding of Africa and its Diaspora,” is partnering with The Africa Soft Power Project to host, through May 25, a series of virtual conversations with speakers from across the world.
