The Africa Center located on 5th Ave and 110th Street in Harlem hosted a Community Day on October 14, 2017. The day-long event included a libation ceremony performed by Dr. Kofi Boateng accompanied by djembe drum group Bolo Bolo Blauweh, a special performance by the sensational Samira Gibson, an Afrobeats class by Izzy Odigie and Sammy Kyei, vendors, and a fonio demonstration with Chef Pierre Thiam.
