Shared Interest, a non-profit social investment fund raising capital to support micro-lending, agriculture cooperatives and small businesses across Southern Africa hosted it annual benefit fundraiser on March 20, 2018 in Manhattan. The benefit honored South African human rights activist Kumi Naidoo Amnesty International Secretary- General and US Congresswoman Barbara Lee. NYC Mayor Bill be Blasio were among the guests who attended the event.
International award-winning South African entrepreneur and talk show host Felicia Mabuza-Suttle was the host for the 2018 Benefit which featured a cocktail networking reception followed by dinner, dancing and entertainment provided by Malawian artist Masauko.
