Dakar, Senegal (PANA) – The Senegalese president, Macky Sall, dismissed Friday his Prime minister, Mrs Aminata Touré, official sources said.
Appointed on September 1, 2013, Mrs Touré was previously minister of Justice for more than a year.
No reason has been given for her dismissal, but it could be linked to her defeat in Sunday’s local elections.
In the municipal and departmental elections, Mrs Touré was defeated by the incumbent mayor of Dakar, Khalifa Sall, her adversary for the town hall of their locality, Grand-Yoff, a suburb of the Senegalese capital.
