Dr. Martin Salia, a native of Sierra Leone and the second African Ebola patient in the US, has died at the Nebraska Medical Center despite being the hospital’s third Ebola patient.
The two other Ebola patients Dr. Rick Sacra and Ashoka Mukpo survived while Dr. Martin Salia like Liberian citizen Thomas Eric Duncan succumb to the virus.
Dr. Salla was flown in the US Saturday from Sierra Leone where he was helping curb the Ebola outbreak.
Dr. Salia was married and had two children in Maryland.
