Parent advocate Joyce McMillan hosted a Timely Representation in child welfare panel discussion with, Anastasia Rivera-Bonilla, Helen Montalvan, Asia Pena, Nancy Fortunato and Nayiesha Terrell on February 19, 2019 at the New School in Manhattan.
The panel discussed how the lack of legal support contributes to the high risk of separation families face and how early representation could prevent unnecessary trauma for children and their families.
