Nigeriens converged in front the UN headquarters, Saturday, June 14, 2014, to protest against the lack of freedom of expression and democracy in Niger lead since April 7, 2011 by president Mahamadou Issoufou.
Protesters came from different American states to make their voice heard, and denounce President Issoufou who is, according to them, jailing members of the opposition and forbidding protests in the western African country in order to secure his reelection in 2016.
