Muslim Community Network – MCN, celebrated two decades of service to the New York and Muslim American community on November 22, 2022 at Midtown Hilton Hotel.
The organization advocating for Muslim New Yorkers, honored Craig Considine with the Interfaith Leadership Award; Dr. Syra Madad with the Trailblazer Award; Imam Latif and Shaykh Jaffer with the Community Leadership Award; Saman Waquad with the Community Service Leadership Award; Amira Ismail with the Youth Leadership Award and the Gambian Youth Organization with the Outstanding Community Partnership Award
A Quran recitation by 12-year-old Faatiha Ayat opened the gala. Wuza Wuza African drumming and dance ensemble performed during the fundraising event for MCN’s own community center project.
