Bamako, Mali (PANA) – The Malian minister of Town Planning and City policy, Mr. Moussa Mara,
has been appointed the country’s new Prime Minister, according to a communique issued Saturday by the Malian presidency.
It said that the new appointment, made by President Ibrahim Boubacar Kéita, followed the resignation of the incumbent Prime minister Oumar Tatam Ly and his government.
The new Prime minister, 39, a former mayor of the district VI of the city of Bamako, is an accountant. He is expected to form a new government shortly.
