Kente Royal Gallery hosted an opening reception for its first exhibition of 2021 “I AM FROM…” with Ghanaian artist Ferguson Amo on January 23, 2021.
The exhibition, a mix of drawings and sculptures, is open until February 6, 2021.
Ferguson Amo is an MFA Fine Arts alumnus and the president of the School of Visual Arts’ Black Alumni Association. Amo considers his work an exploration of “contemporary African identity in the diaspora and the intricate details of the history and experiences of cultural diffusion, and its assimilation, through representation.”
