If you are Black, you can’t afford not to vote and if you are Black and poor, you definitely can’t afford not to vote! But why are we talking about voting? Because there is an election on November 2nd, 2021, in New York City and as a New Yorker, you get the privilege to choose your municipal representatives, including:
– Mayor
– Public Advocate
– City Comptroller
– Borough President
– District Attorney
– Councilmember
And since we are so unique in Harlem, we get to have a special election to replace now Lt. Governor Brian Benjamin, who was, until recently, New York State Senator for the 30th District.
