Former African Union Ambassador Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao, MD sent a message to the 116,254 supporters who signed on change.org, a petition to reinstate her after she was abruptly fired on October 7, 2019.
The message includes a thank you note and a video on the way forward: This is what the note says:
“To the African Diaspora, members of African Diaspora Congress (ADC), members of African Diaspora Voice (ADV) and all who signed the petition, thank you for your support and believing in me. The way forward and the coming together movement you have been asking for is here. I have recorded a personal video message to thank you ALL for standing with me. In the video, I have laid out all the programs that we are going to embark on together.
I have registered an entity called African Diaspora Development Institute (ADDI). ADDI is the entity where we are all going to come together as children of one mother Africa to discuss pivotal issues pertaining to us and our beloved Africa.
I am looking forward to working with all of you as we organize to build the Africa we want. In order for us to communicate effectively we are going to need a Directory of diaspora businesses, professionals, friends of Africa and all those interested in building the Africa we want.
I urge all of you to join this much awaited and needed movement. Please stand up and be counted by joining ADDI. To join ADDI visit https://www.ouraddi.org
For more information about ADDI and all the planned programs, please visit https://www.ouraddi.org”
Her Excellency,
Ambassador Arikana Chihombori-Quao MD
