Grammy Award-winning singer and HIV/Aids activist, Alicia Keys, attended the Gordon Parks Foundation Awards dinner held on June 3, 2014, at Cipriani Wall Street in Manhattan.
Keys who rocked a plunging neckline red dress was escorted by her husband and last year’s honoree, Swizz Beatz.
The Gordon Parks Foundation, dedicated to preserving the work and legacy of Gordon Parks, the “most important African-American photographer in the history of photojournalism”, honored during the star-studded event, Grammy Award-winning American jazz trumpeter, Irvin Mayfield, artist and photographer, Lorna Simpson, Fashion Designer, Vera Wang, and Visual Artist, Ed Zwick.
Other honorees included George Lucas and Mellody Hobson who received the first Gordon Parks Patron of the Arts Award.
