Africa Now! is happening on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem where legendary performers like Michael Jackson, Lauryn Hill, James Brown and Stevie Wonder to name a few launched their careers.
Africa Now!, is highlighting for the fifth year today’s contemporary African music scene.
Artists participating in this year’s concert hail from the Congo, Nigeria, Mali and South Africa and include: Congolese post-punk bass sensation Mbongwana Star; contemporary rock & hip hop collective Songhoy Blues’; Paris-based Mauritanian singer-songwriter Daby Touré, South African soul singer TUELO and Nigerian mega DJ – DJ Nenim.
Each of this year’s artists brings a unique sound, experience and energy, integrating African identity with a diverse spirit and urban energy.
