The nonprofit organization, Guineans Succeeding in America, has set up a GoFundMe campaign to help Alfa Barrie’s family cover his funeral costs.
While many, including the family, were hoping for a miracle, the Police found the lifeless body of 11-year-old boy Alfa Barrie on Saturday, May 20, 2023, in the Hudson River.
The body of 13-year-old Garrett Warren was retrieved from the Harlem River two days earlier, on Thursday, May 18, 2023.
The two boys were last seen together near Ana’s Fish Market on 145th Street in Harlem on Friday, May 12, 2023.
