The Bronx African Advisory Council kicks off 4th Annual African Nations Soccer Tournament

The African Advisory Council (AAC) of the Bronx Borough President’s Office kicked off its fourth Annual African Nations Soccer Tournament on April 27, 2013 at Macombs Dam Park.

Cape Verde and Liberia were the first two teams among sixteen to compete. Other teams participating to the tournament include Senegal, Ghana, Guinea, Ethiopia, Togo, Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Niger, Mali, Sierra Leone, Gambia and South Africa.

The games resume every weekend until the final scheduled on May 18, 2013, a day before the Bronx Week parade.

Schedule for Saturday, May 4, 2013
Game 13: Cameroon vs. Ghana at 2:00pm
Game 14: Senegal vs. Burkina Faso at 3:20pm
Game 15: Cape Verde vs. Gambia at 4:40pm
Game 16: Niger vs. Liberia at 6:00pm
Game 17: Togo vs. Côte d’Ivoire at 7:20pm
Game 18: Nigeria vs. Mali at 8:40pm

Game 19: Ethiopia vs. Guinea at 2:00pm
