Tunisian Interior Minister, Hédi Mejdoub, has not excluded the fact that foreign intelligence services were involved in the murder of Mohamed Zouari, a Tunisian engineer of the aviation shot last Thursday in front of his home in Sfax, a city in the south of Tunisia.
Mr. Mejdoub revealed that the assassination of the former militant of the Islamist Movement of Tunisia Mohamed Zouari was prepared since June 2016 in two European countries, Hungary and Austria.
According to Mejdoub, the assassination of Mohamed Zouari was executed by two foreigners, one of them a European of Arab origin (Moroccan according the substitute of the Prosecutor of the Republic of Sfax, Mourad Turki).
He assured that the Tunisian security services had identified, but refused to disclose their names to not impede the ongoing investigation.
The Tunisian authorities have so far proceeded to the arrest of 10 Tunisians who have provided “logistical assistance” that led to the murder.
