Brooklyn African Heritage Affairs Committee celebrates African Week

Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams’s office and the African Heritage Affairs Committee held their second African Week celebration on May 27, 2021 on the Borough Hall plaza. 

Speakers included: African Heritage Affairs Committee members Jerry Adinkra and Princess Nozipho, minister and community activist Rev. Dennis Dillon, African Art collector Mr. Eric Edwards, Joseph Grant from Council Member Robert Cornegy’s office and Lori Luis from the Borough President’s office.

The prayer at the beginning of the event was led by Bishop Dr. Amankwah.

Nyemba Tyrone Seales, Salieu Suso and Nkumu Katalay provided the entertainment.
