Black leaders hold vigil in Harlem in honor of Congressman John Lewis

On July 19, 2020 a number of Black leaders gathered at the Harlem Black Lives Matter Mural on Adam Clayton Powell Blvd to celebrate the life of civil rights activist and Congressman John Lewis, who passed away on July 17, 2020.

Present and participating were: Congressman Hakeem Jeffries, former Congressman Charles Rangel, NY NAACP President Hazel Dukes, NY state Attorney General Letitia James, State Senator Brian Benjamin, Assemblywoman Inez Dickens, President & CEO of the New York Urban League (NYUL) Arva Rice, Assemblyman Al Taylor, Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams, two Daughters of the Movement members Stacey Lynch and Keisha Sutton-James, and members of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
